Inflatable boats capable of carrying up to 1,700 migrants across the Channel have been seized at East Midlands Airport. The National Crime Agency said it is the first time small boat equipment has been detected in air freight. The nine-metre long vessels were hidden in pallets aboard an air freight shipment.
